Los Angeles City Council faced the rising issue during a controversial public hearing regarding a city-wide ban of flavored tobacco, menthol cigarettes and hookah.

Citing Threat To Public Health From Schools That Don’t Satisfy Mandatory Vaccination Reporting Requirement, City Attorney Mike Feuer, La County Officials Direct Schools To Comply Or Face Possible Legal Action

In the wake of an unprecedented rise in the number of vaccine-preventable diseases including measles in California in 2019, City Attorney Mike Feuer today was joined by officials from the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health to announce they have put non-conforming schools with kindergartens on notice that they must report the number of students vaccinated, or face possible legal consequences.
