Janet Jackson Set to Kick-off the Hollywood Bowl 2023 Season 

The Los Angeles Philharmonic Association announced its 2023 Hollywood Bowl summer concert season on Tuesday, Feb. 7. This season’s lineup does not disappoint. What we get in this season’s lineup are exceptional artists making their first appearance at one of the most famous live venues in the world. 

Destiny’s Child Kelly Rowland Kicks off Disney’s Dreamers Academy

Kelly Rowland proved an inspiration to 100 young and impressionable students who descended upon Disney World for the four-day 2022 Disney Dreamers Academy. Serving as this year’s celebrity ambassador for the program, Rowland led the students – called Dreamers – and others in a parade along Main Street in the Magic Kingdom. “This program really touches me,” Rowland declared. “I know how important it is, especially for students of color, when you think of the STEM aspect of this. We need STEM and STEAM because there’s such a big void there.”

Recording Registry adds albums by Janet Jackson, Nas 

The Library of Congress announced Wednesday that Labelle’s song “Lady Marmalade” and Kool & the Gang’s “Celebration” are some of the titles tapped for preservation this year. The national library chose a few more memorable titles including Kermit the Frog’s “The Rainbow Connection.”

Janet Jackson Set to Join her Brothers, Michael Jackson and the Jackson 5 in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

NEW YORK (AP) — Janet Jackson joins her brother Michael and the Jackson 5 as members of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, earning induction on Thursday along with Stevie Nicks and the top fan vote-getter, Def Leppard. Radiohead, the Cure, Roxy Music and the Zombies will also be ushered in next spring at the 34th induction ceremony. It will be held March 29 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Jackson’s induction comes after her third time as nominee and many saw it as overdue, given her prowess as a hitmaker with “All For You,” ″That’s the Way Love Goes,”

Black Girls Rock 2018 to Honor Janet Jackson, Mary J Blige and More Phenomenal Women

Janet Jackson will receive the rock star award at the 2018 Black Girls Rock awards. The Grammy winner will be honored as a “phenomenal woman in music,” organizers said Thursday. Jackson recently released “Made For Now,” her single with Daddy Yankee. Queen Latifah will host the show, which will be taped Sunday at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark. BET Networks will air the special celebrating the accomplishments of black women on Sept. 9.   Other award recipients include Mary J. Blige, Naomi Campbell and Judith Jamison.
