Janet Jackson kicked off the Hollywood Bowl’s opening night on her “Together Again” tour with an out-of-sight performance along with rapper Ludacris and the Youth Orchestra of Los Angeles showcasing their talents.
Celebrating 50 years of her career, she dazzled with choreography, footage from her life, and performed hit songs like “Control,” “Rhythm Nation,” and “That’s the Way Love Goes.”
Jackson has been on a 34-city nationwide tour with sold out shows, and most recently was stationed in Las Vegas in 2019 for her 18-date “Metamorphosis” show at the Park MGM.
The Hollywood Bowl publicists elaborated on the depth of her music and the impact it has had on addressing world issues by describing it as “classic LPs such as “Rhythm Nation 1814” and “The Velvet Rope” incorporated industrial and jazz elements as well as socially conscious lyrics that addressed poverty, injustice, sexual inequality, and the HIV/AIDS crisis.
