Crenshaw senior Taren Harper enjoys connecting with people and serving others. She also enjoys physical activity, competing in flag football, cheerleading, and track and field. Time management helps her commit to all her obligations.
The Los Angeles Rams hosted their second annual Flag Jamboree presented by Bridgestone. The Rams hosted over 2,500 flag football student-athletes from over 100 high schools in the Southern California region.
Crenshaw senior Talita Robinson is a quarterback for the girl’s flag football team. Last season, she led the team to the Open Division City Section playoffs. In their inaugural season, the Cougars had a 17-2 overall record and 13-0 Coliseum League record.
In the wake of flag football becoming an Olympic sport for the 2028 Los Angeles Games, Team USA Football hosted flag football tournaments at Dignity Health Sports Park.
Throughout her formative years, King/Drew sophomore Lyric Stevens had been too shy to show off her talents or to try something new. This school year, it all changed when she decided to play on the Golden Eagles girl’s Flag Football team.
The King/Drew Golden Eagles girl’s flag football team has been a dominant force in the Coliseum League. Their 46-0 victory over the Manual Arts Toilers marks the 10th shutout in their inaugural season.

From an early age, Roberta Remy played football with her brothers. Her passion and knowledge for the game was again put to use when Hawthorne high school established a girl’s flag football team this year.
The Los Angeles Chargers partnered with the L.A. Legends sports organization to host their inaugural girls’ flag football college showcase at Serra high school. Members of the L.A. Legends helped facilitate drills and exercises.
Crenshaw senior Dechelle Brackett is a dual-sport athlete, competing in flag football and track. She is the captain of the Cougars girls flag football team.
In June, members of the Los Angeles Rams rookie class facilitated a free coed football clinic for the students of the Inglewood Unified School District (IUSD) at Crozier Middle School. Over 300 students came out and learned different drills from the new players.
View Park senior Kamora King began playing rugby during her senior year. During that time, she learned how to play in several different positions. King recalled her first game as being “intense.”
