Good vibes and energy permeated Saturday’s, October 15, Taste of Soul event which is probably what caused the rain and clouds that filled the sky earlier that morning to disappear. Getty partnered with LA Phil’s Youth Orchestra Los Angeles (YOLA) to highlight the city’s arts and culture. Opening weekend took place Saturday, May 14 and Sunday, May 15 from 11am until 6pm in Inglewood for a two-day festival at Inglewood City Hall. Inglewood City Hall’s front lawn, Grevillea Art Park, and the Beckman YOLA Center hosted interactive workshops, and had live performances with local musicians, artisans, and visual artists. The events gave local artists and musicians a platform to showcase their talents, and vendors an opportunity to promote their business.
