All Nine LACCD Colleges Will Serve as County Vote Centers for November 3 Presidential General Election

All nine colleges of the Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD) will proudly serve as multi-day Voting Centers in collaboration with the Los Angeles County Registrar of Voters for the November 3, 2020 Presidential General Election. The colleges include: East Los Angeles College; Los Angeles City College; Los Angeles Harbor College; Los Angeles Mission College; Los Angeles Pierce College; Los Angeles Southwest College; Los Angeles Trade-Technical College, Los Angeles Valley College and West Los Angeles College.

LACCD Semester Begins August 31, Open Enrollment in Full Swing

Special online open enrollment fairs hosted by the nine colleges of the Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD) will be held 10 a.m. to noon, Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2020.  See list below for online links per college.

LACCD BOARD APPROVES SCHEDULE CHANGES, SHIFT TO ONLINE SERVICES & ONLINE LEARNING TO HELP COMBAT SPREAD OF CORONAVIRUS COVID-19

“The situation is very fluid and may change over the coming days. These measures do not address courses and services that do not lend themselves to an online or remote learning format. There are still many outstanding questions, which we will try to address in the coming days and report on as new developments arise. Toni Harris Breaks Down Barriers in Football

East Los Angeles College (ELAC) free safety Antoinette “Toni” Harris made history in February by becoming the first female to sign a letter of intent for a football program. The Detroit native will be taking her talents to Central Methodist University in Fayette Missouri on a full football scholarship.

Student Voter Registration Events Held September 25, 2018

Student organizations throughout the Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD) are organizing a variety of events at the District’s nine colleges in conjunction with National Voter Registration Day on September 25, 2018.  The district-wide student voter registration activities are also in response to a call by Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti and the March for Our Lives organization to ensure young people are empowered to let their voices be heard at the ballot box.

Center Theatre Group to Present Workforce Readiness Symposium: A Free Event on Saturday, September 22 Hosted by East Los Angeles College

Center Theatre Group invites representatives from the Southern California higher education community to attend the free Workforce Readiness Symposium on Saturday, September 22, at East Los Angeles College from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Workforce Symposium is a daylong event for members of the higher education community who work with students studying theatre to connect with colleagues, learn more about hiring challenges and needs in the field and develop a collaborative framework for how best to prepare theatre students to go from college to working in their desired career pathway.
