Every ten years in the United States, new political lines are drawn to create “more equitable districts” at every level of government. In 2020 – 2021, for the first time a Citizens Redistricting Commission is drawing lines for the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors.
Big, big things are happening at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) and one of the biggest is the recent addition of Naima J. Keith as its Vice President of Education and Public Programs.
At its core, we support Measure W because of its impact on empowering African-Americans and other communities of color in Los Angeles County – making business pay their fair share for the clean water that Black and brown residents are most likely, otherwise, to be deprived of. Measure W is a progressive tax that spreads the compliance burden equally with no groups paying more than their fair share.
