Vowing not to let the unexpected shooting of several people frighten their quiet neighborhood, the residents of Blakely Avenue in Willowbrook held a vigil on April 17 in memory of those who were killed and injured.

The elite designation, awarded to only 231 hospitals in the United States, identifies leading maternity care programs based on rigorous quality and safety standards. A Downey man was sentenced today to 120 months in federal prison for committing four armed robberies of GameStop video game stores in Los Angeles and Orange counties that resulted in the theft of more than $132,000 in merchandise and cash.
