Aiming to salute the contributions and accomplishments of Black women, Bakewell Media CEO Danny J. Bakewell, Sr., created a memorable space to commemorate several Black women who continue to make waves of change through selfless due diligence and continuous acts of service.
Pat Prescott, the esteemed broadcaster, will serve as mistress of ceremonies for Bakewell Media’s salute to Black women leaders and the 90th anniversary of the Sentinel on Saturday, April 15, at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

NXT LVL, a program powered by TecLeimert, offered their amazing expertise in showing off the 2022 Taste of Soul Family Festival. NXT LVL is a free program that provides opportunities for under resourced youth to leverage existing affinities for social media and culture, as well as develop professional skills in the creative economy. In a twelve-week program, applicants learn the basics of digital marking and other tech-related subjects, and then are paired with an industry expert to mentor them. Six interns worked with our Taste of Soul team for two weeks to ensure that the TOS (@tos_streetfestla) and LAS (@lasentinel)
TecLeimert joined Taste of Soul’s Digital World on October 15, just three weeks after the nonprofit’s innovative Black to the Future Conference. Their station was alight with live podcast recordings of panel discussions with industry experts, immersive virtual reality (VR) experiences, a 360 photo booth machine complete with bubble gun fun, and multiple gaming stations, all highlighting the creative side of technology.
