Pastor Fred Price Receives Doctorate Degree

Pastor Frederick K. Price Jr. of Crenshaw Christian Center (CCC) received his doctor of divinity degree, along with several others, during a ceremony on July 10 at the Carson Civic Center. The ceremony combined both the 15th and 16th graduating classes of the Bible Believers Christian College and Seminary (BBCCS) in the city of Hawthorne. Crenshaw Christian Center Steps Up in Fight Against COVID-19

Pastor Frederick K. Price, Jr. and the members of Crenshaw Christian Center are on the forefront in the battle against COVID-19 by hosting a range of activities to help the community. Wednesday, April 29. The Los Angeles City Mayor reported the latest news surrounding the coronavirus outbreak. The elected official acknowledged the rise in sexual violence on Denim Day; associated with that movement was the acknowledgement of growth within domestic violence cases. People are staying indoors and since then, there has been a rise in the act of domestic violence within the city. Mayor Garcetti shared the data surrounding the COVID-19 virus within the Los Angeles region. Eric Garcetti acknowledged this preexisting inequality that haunts underserved communities. These discrepancies have led to higher death rates within particular minority groups. The response presented is that the County of L.A. has ramped of testing capacity in high-density areas such as the Crenshaw Christian Center. According to her years of study in the HIV Pandemic, Cynthia Davis stressed the differences in behavior between the two viruses. HIV took over 40 years to reach 1.5 million cases globally, coronavirus took 2-3 months to reach 500,000 positive cases within the U.S. alone. Dr. Davis stressed the physical guidelines and the importance in testing to combat the spread of COVID-19. Cynthia Davis declared, “…You want to use what is called, Universal Precautions, which means you treat everyone as if they have been infected with COVID-19 and take the appropriate precautions.” This includes hand washing, wearing a mask, and practicing social distancing.
