King/Drew senior Anthony Torrence is one of four captains of the football team. He has helped the Golden Eagles reach the CIF City Section Division I Semifinals.
Jordan sophomore Crystal Jones has been playing flag football since a young age. Throughout the years, she has been playing at quarterback and running back.
Crenshaw senior Talita Robinson is a quarterback for the girl’s flag football team. Last season, she led the team to the Open Division City Section playoffs. In their inaugural season, the Cougars had a 17-2 overall record and 13-0 Coliseum League record.
The Washington Prep Generals football team is starting a new season and a new era with a victory. The Generals defeated the Hollywood Sheiks 32-7.
Dorsey junior Adegheosha Asoro has been playing basketball for over two years and decided to compete in track and field this past season. In track, he ran the 400m and he also began learning how to compete in the triple jump.

The Carson Colts girls track and field team continues on their reign of dominance with their win in the 2024 CIF City Section Championships. The Colts have won the City Section title for the eighth consecutive time.
The King/Drew Golden Eagles softball team defeated the Mendez Jaguars 8-6 in the first round of the CIF Division II City Section playoffs. King/Drew will play the second-seeded Marquez Gladiators on May 13 at 3:00P.M.
