Spearheaded by the Cooperative Economic Empowerment Movement (CEEM), a collective of Black business owners gathered together to celebrate Black History month and to honor exemplary leaders who strive to create wealth-building opportunities for African American communities.
Reginald and René Webb, the owner-operators of several McDonald’s restaurants in the greater L.A. area, received Honorary Doctors of Humane Letters degrees from California State University – San Bernardino.
The 2nd Annual CEEM Weekend at the LA County Fair will feature a “Tribute to Black Influence in Pop Culture!” Come celebrate the incredible impact of African-American contributions to this year’s fair theme: Pop Culture! The CEEM Weekend is sponsored by McDonald’s Black & Positively Golden Campaign. McDonald’s Black & Positively Golden campaign celebrates a new movement to uplift communities and empower excellence through education, empowerment and entrepreneurship.
Members of the Corporate Economic Empowerment Movement are inviting the public to get to know them and support their “mini take-over” of this year’s Los Angeles County Fair September 7-9.
