Bethesda Temple Apostolic Church Celebrates 30th Anniversary

Bethesda Temple Apostolic Church will celebrate its 30th anniversary on Friday, June 8, and Sunday, June 10, at 4909 S. Crenshaw Blvd., in Los Angeles. Bishop Thomas Alexander will preach on Friday, at 7 p.m. On Sunday, Bishop Shaun Davis will speak at 11 a.m., and Bishop Robert T. Douglass at 3 p.m. The late Elder Ernest Alexander founded Bethesda Temple in 1988 with 33 charter members. Bethesda Temple Mourns Passing of Pastor Lockett

The Rev. Robert Lee Lockett, pastor of Bethesda Temple Apostolic Church, passed away on October 17. He was 65-years-old. His homegoing service is set for Saturday, October 29, at 11 a.m., at Bethesda Temple, 4909 S. Crenshaw Blvd., in Los Angeles. Lockett was born on March 24, 1951 and raised in Delano California. A charter member of Bethesda, he served as assistant pastor for 28 years before being appointed pastor earlier in 2016. A veteran of the U.S. Army, Lockett later worked for the Los Angeles County Fire Department. He rose to the position of captain during his long career
