 City Council Approves the Name Change of ‘Rodeo Road’ to ‘Obama Boulevard’ 

The City Council closed out their August meeting with a vote of a lifetime. Last month, members of the council were asked to vote on changing the street name “Rodeo Road” to “Obama Boulevard” after Los Angeles City Council president Herb Wesson motioned for the rename back in 2017.

Use of the ‘N-Word’ is Far From the Only Measure of Racism

Omarosa Manigault Newman, the president’s former aide, claims there is a tape of him using the vile racial slur. White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said she “can’t guarantee” that a tape doesn’t exist. Trump tweeted, “I don’t have that word in my vocabulary.” The press pursued the question as if this would establish for one and for all whether Trump is a racist.

Donald Trump has managed to get disinvited to two prominent funerals in his first term. First he was banned from former first lady Barabra Bush’s funeral and now a firm “no invite” at the request of John McCain’s wishes before he passed. McCain will have Bush and Obama eulogize him. Both former president’s defeated McCain in his pursuit to be president of the the United States.
