L.A. COVID-19 Update on testing; Now Accessible for Vast Majority. Over 11,000 tests available per day.

Friday, April 17. The Emergency Operations Center announced a partnership with Airbnb, this private factor has partnered with L.A. county to service frontline workers. Airbnb Partners with NHS to Support its Home Rehabilitation Loan Program in South LA

Airbnb has partnered with Neighborhood Housing Services of Los Angeles County (NHS) to support its long standing “Don’t Move, Improve” program. This home rehabilitation loan program provides South LA homeowners with an opportunity to access no-interest and low-interest loans to improve their largest asset: their homes. Qualified applicants could have access to the funds they need to make long-overdue repairs like upgrading plumbing, painting or landscaping, and upgrading a bathroom.

As the city continues to discuss regulations to legitimize short-term rentals in Los Angeles, Airbnb announced its host community has remitted more than $100 million in transient occupancy taxes to the City in just over two years. This represents 10% of the more than $1 billion in taxes Airbnb has remitted on behalf of its host community around the world.
