Maximizing ministry potential is the goal of the 2015 Church Development Conference sponsored by Southern Missionary Baptist Church (MBC) of Los Angeles.
The four-day events aims to equip pastors, ministry leaders and congregations with scripture, tools and resources to effect positive change in churches and the community.
The conference takes place on the campus of Southern MBC, located at 4678 West Adams Boulevard in Los Angeles. Sessions begin Saturday, July 18, at 10 a.m., and continues on Sunday, July 19, at 10 a.m., 12 p.m., and 5 p.m. On Monday, July 20, and Tuesday, July 21, workshops will start at 7 p.m.
“We encourage people of faith throughout greater Los Angeles to register and attend this free conference. Consider your attendance as an investment in both your church and your personal walk with Christ,” said Pastor Xavier L. Thompson.
“Our keynote speaker will be the dynamic Dr. Kerwin B. Lee of Berean Christian Church in Stone Mountain, Georgia. Also, the legendary Apostle Frederick K. C. Price of Crenshaw Christian Center will lead a session exclusively for pastors on ‘Living Clean in a Dirty World – Avoiding the Pitfalls of Ministry.’
“Leaders and workers at every level of ministry will benefit from the extensive educational information we will offer and will be able to immediately apply what they learned to their place of worship,” added Pastor Thompson.
