Former Santa Monica mayor and longtime civic activist Nat Trivesis often sought after to speak at community events. Each year, Mr. Trives serves in a leadership role on community events celebrating the work of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. His current affairs class at Santa Monica Emeritus College is one of the most popular courses in lifelong learningfor older adults. Mr. Trives is a former professor of Criminal Justice and Affirmative Action Officer at Cal State University Los Angeles.
