“The public is cordially invited to join us in our evening services beginning with the Communion Service on Sunday evening at 7:30 p.m. The messenger will be Rev. Edwin Watkins of Mount Zion Baptist Church in San Francisco,” said Dr. Glover.
On Monday at 7:30 p.m., the California State Association will officially welcome the delegates with local and state dignitaries bringing greetings. Tuesday’s schedule includes the convention musical at 7:30 p.m., under the direction of Dr. Margaret Pleasant Douroux.
The Awards Banquet is set for Thursday evening. Mrs. Denise Hunter, first lady of First A.M.E. Church – Los Angeles and CEO of the FAME Corporation, will receive the Bright Light Community Service Award in recognition of her outstanding service in the Los Angeles community and across the United States.
