The scroll was similar to contracts in the ancient world; that is, the details were written inside. He who sat on the throne, which reflected emerald lights like diamonds and rubies radiating from and around the throne.

This particular scroll (book) held in the right hand of Him who sat on the throne no one could be allowed to read or look on this cherished document, which had been held for who knows how long. Searching on the earth and under the earth brought forth no one “worthy” to take the scroll.

The strong angel proclaimed with a loud voice, “Who is worthy to open the scroll and loose the seals? No one was found worthy to open the scroll and read the scroll or to look at it.”

Revelation 6 details the judgements and events of the tribulation announced in opening the seven seals. Those are briefly outlined in part 4 of my paper, “Who Holds Title?” One of the heavenly elders says, “The Lion of the Tribe of Judah, The Root of David has prevailed to open the scroll and loose the seven seals.” (Revelation 5:5).

The Lamb prevailed. How? As the Lamb, He was slain as the final sacrifice. He was crucified. The nail prints are in His hands and feet. He is “the” only resurrected savior. There may be imitators, but He is the one and only one.

He is the only begotten Son of God. He is the only mediator between the Father and man. He is the Lion because He is not only the gentle, forgiving savior; but the God of wrath when His patience will run its course and the seal judgements, the trumpet judgements, and the bowl judgements and whatever else He has in store will come.

He holds the title deed to the earth. The earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof, they and all that dwells therein. (Psalm 24:1) We may have property and goods right here on earth to occupy and enjoy; but the earth’s title deed was being held in safe keeping until at such time designated by Him who sat on the throne had prepared the Lam” to take it from His right hand and that one who took it and is now held by Jesus Christ: the Lion of the tribe of Judah. He is the rightful owner.

Remember Colossians 1:15-18 [15[He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

“When Jesus opens the sixth seal numerous cataclysmic (catastrophic) an earthquake, the sun is black as sack cloth of hair, the moon became as blood and many other things happened, to the extent that regardless of the earthly standard of living from poor to the richest and the best clothed and others they were screaming and hollering for the rocks to fall on them hoping they would be saved from the wrath of Him sits on the throne and the wrath of the Lamb (Revelation 6:16)

“What does this mean? …” behold the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David (Revelation 5:5)? To be defined next time. Writing for the Lord and loving it!
