Sydney Elise Russell is a dynamo. It’s not a fluke that her star wattage is red hot at such a young age. Russell impacts you from the moment she utters her first words. The good news? Russell is coming to the Los Angeles area as she takes the stage at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts in the Tony-nominated Best Musical “Frozen” portraying the young Elsa.

Russell came into our hearts in 2019 when a video of a then-eight-year-old Sydney went viral as millions watched as she danced with unabated exhilaration. From that moment, she began to fulfill her dreams of singing, acting, dancing, and writing.

As the young Elsa, Russell loves playing this role as her character has magic abilities to create and control ice and snow. It is the magic in the show that young theatergoers love. “I love that the kids get so excited, and I hear them say it’s snowing,” Russell said.

A young woman who oozes confidence beyond her years, Russell credits the tremendous support from her family as her confidence builder. She is hopeful that her portrayal of young Elsa inspires kids who come to see her. “I hope young girls will go after their dreams, never give up, and know they can change the world,” Russell said.
