USC Trojans Blow Chance to Upset Washington Huskies, Losing 52-42

On Saturday, one scene said it all at the end of USC’s loss (7-3, 5-2, Pac-12) to the Washington Huskies (9-0, 6-0 Pac-12). Trojan quarterback and reigning Heisman winner Caleb Williams found his mother in the stands and jumped into her arms, crying, as she hid his face from public view with a piece of paper.

USC Defensive Play Wins Game Over Cal 50-49

It wasn’t the prettiest of wins at the California Memorial Stadium in Berkeley, but in a game where getting the ‘W’ is what matters, the No. 24 USC Trojans (7-2, Pac-12, 5-1) defeated the California Golden Bears (3-5, Pac-12, 1-4) 50-49 in a back-and-forth game that saw the often-maligned Trojan defense end a two-game losing streak during the final minute of the game, shutting down a two-point conversion attempt by the Bears. It was a massive play for the defense, who also forced four turnovers.

Cowboys Crush Rams 43-20

It was a homecoming for Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford. Stafford won a state title in Dallas for Highland Park High School, and his family lives in the area. It was not the homecoming he imagined as Stafford left the game in the third quarter after injuring his thumb as the Cowboys (5-2) routed the Rams (3-5) on Sunday at AT&T Stadium in Arlington.

Rams Fall to Steelers, 24-17, Release Kicker

It was a home game for the Rams (3-4) on Sunday before the 73,471 football fans at SoFi, or at least it was advertised that way. One look at the hundreds of Steeler fans waving their terrible towels, and you wondered if you had fallen asleep and woke up in Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh.

USC Falls to Utah Again, 34-32

The No. 18 Trojans began the day with one thing in mind: beating the Utah Utes after a heartbreaking loss to Notre Dame. The Trojans and their legions of fans would leave the Coliseum disappointed after losing again to the Utes. As most sports fans would say, the Utes have the Trojans’ number; they spoiled it for the Trojans once again.

USC Falls to Notre Dame, 48-20

Watching the Trojans lose to the Fighting Irish on Saturday 48-20 was hard. USC quarterback Caleb Williams threw three interceptions, each leading to a touchdown for the Irish.

Eagles Defeat Rams in Road Win 23-14

The Philadelphia Eagles entered the Rams House on Sunday and took care of business, defeating the Rams 23-14. SoFi Stadium was packed with Eagles fans as the 74,935 in attendance witnessed the infamous “tush push,” the “brotherly love shove,” or as Jalen Hurts professed, what he calls it will not be known during the first half’s final minutes.

The Rams Beat the Colts in Overtime, 29-23

Rookie wide receiver Puka Nacua became the day’s hero as he connected with quarterback Matthew Stafford on a 22-yard touchdown to beat the Colts in overtime, 29-23, at Lucas Oil Stadium on Sunday.

Chargers Defeat Vikings 28-24; Mike Williams Season is Over

With seven seconds left in the game at U.S. Bank Stadium, Kenneth Murray Jr. sealed the win for the Chargers with an interception in the endzone, snagging a ball deflected off the chest of Vikings tight end T.J. Hockenson, preventing a go-ahead Vikings score.

USC Routs Nevada 66-14

On Saturday, the sixth-ranked USC Trojans continued their winning ways, routing the Nevada Wolf Pack 66-14 at the L.A. Coliseum.
