Nita Whitaker is among the performers participating in “The 26th Anniversary of Our Name Is Barbra,” on Sunday, April 28, at 7:30 p.m. at Catalina Jazz Club, 6725 West Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles.
The event is a musical celebration of Barbra Streisand’s birthday. According to Clifford Bell, producer and director with Cabarabia Productions, the fundraiser will benefit Project Angel Food and include 32 performers.
Whitaker is an author and recording artist who has appeared on Broadway in “Trouble in Mind” and the world premiere of “Ragtime.”

Mary Fisher, AIDS and social justice advocate, renowned artist & best-selling author, serves on Project Angel Food’s Board of Directors and will make a special appearance.
The cabaret show of Broadway tunes and popular songs. Also performing are Teri Ralston, Michael Maguire, Jason Graae, Anastasia Barzee, Kerry O’Malley, Kirby Tepper, Gregg Marx, Julie Garyné, Karen Benjamin and Alan Chapman.
Featured performers include Shelly Goldstein, Shawn Ryan, Dana Meller, Mark Arthur Miller, Patricia Canale, Glenn Rosenblum, Katrina Aguilar, Angelo Divino, Michael J. Libow, and The Vocal Quartet, FOURPLAY, consisting of Clifford Bell, Mary Pat Bowe, Andrea Press and Kelley Yearout.
Pianists include David Scott Cohen, Michael Collum, David J. Kaminsky, Peter Smith and Gerald Sternbach; Alexander Frank will be on bass and Tom Bowe will be on drums.

VIP Tickets for the show are $135.00 each and include Premium Seating, Three-Course Dinner with Salad and Dessert and Pre-Paid Parking. General Admission Tickets are $45.00 each; dinner or a two-drink minimum is required in addition to tickets to the show, plus a $0.49 music royalty fee per patron. Valet parking is available, as well metered street parking.
