Los Angeles County Assessor Jeff Prang has promoted longtime Palmdale resident Anita Drummond-Sepolen to the executive position of chief appraiser over the region known as the North District, which stretches from Sylmar to Lancaster.
“Mrs. Drummond-Sepolen is a highly motivated executive having had an extensive, successful career before joining our office,” said Prang.
“Since joining our office, her skill-set has been exemplary and she’s now going to be responsible for operations at our Sylmar and Lancaster offices.”
Drummond-Sepolen worked in the private sector for a major corporation and also operated a successful business before beginning her career at the Assessor’s office in 2007 as an appraiser trainee. She is a subject-matter expert in both residential and commercial-industrial appraisal. Previously, she was assigned to the Assessor’s Major Real Property Division, Appeals Unit as an assessor’s representative and worked in the Ownership Services Division.
“This is an exciting time in the Assessor’s Office,” said Drummond-Sepolen. “I am honored to be a member of the executive team under the guidance of Los Angeles County Assessor Jeff Prang.”
Drummond-Sepolen and her husband, Darrell Sepolen, have lived in the Antelope Valley for 29 years and are active members of the community. Her daughter is a graduate of Brown University in Rhode Island and her son is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley.
One of her favorite quotes is from Ruth Bader Ginsburg, the late associate justice of the Supreme Court of the United States, “Fight for the thing that you care about, but do it in a way that will lead others to join you.”
