On Saturday, December 3, the Southern California Metropolitan Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction Church of God in Christ will host the Inaugural Celebration honoring Mrs. Rosemary Ransom for her elevation as the fifth in succession of the Jurisdictional Supervisor for Southern California Metropolitan, Department of Women.
The celebration will take place at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Downey California. According to the event chairpersons, “It is a time we have set aside to remember our past and celebrate our present – ‘The Year of New Beginnings.’”
Admirers agree that Mrs. Ransom is a committed and dedicated leader in ministry, reaching out to the community in assisting with outreach and mission programs that assist individuals and families by providing necessary resources. Her charitable activities include ongoing involvement in helping to provide and distribute food and necessary clothing items to families. Previously, she facilitated hospital, nursing home, and assisted living visitations as part of the areas of ministry that she maintained connections.
Mrs. Ransom serves as the coordinator of programs, workshops, and seminars to provide relevant information and mentoring to the religious body as well as the general community by engaging professionals to address topics such as health and wellness, education, job resources and training. She has hosted numerous conferences and leadership events to provide information to the community at no cost. Ms. Ransom has worked as a youth leader, and mentor to young ladies adjusting to various concerns of life.
Mrs. Ransom has a passion for helping individuals achieve their potential and positive goals and enhance their lives. She has a heart for service to the religious and entire community, and a strong desire to see others succeed in building positive lives and families.
As an area administrator with Los Angeles County, Mrs. Ransom embraces more than 41 years of dedicated service to the citizens of Los Angeles County. She has gone beyond her assigned job responsibilities, engaging in contributing to and assisting with charitable giving programs such as the March of Dimes and programs to enhance the lives of citizens. Mrs. Ransom understands how critical it is to share time and attention to encouraging and assisting others.
All of her outstanding qualities underscore the reason for her new appointment. All who know her are confident that she will devote these characteristics, along with her time and talents, to ensuring the success of the Department of Women while serving as the Jurisdictional Supervisor.
