I was reminded recently that the Lord hasn’t changed His mind about me. This came at a time where I was being told to share with others that the Lord hasn’t forgotten them either.

COVID-19 has disrupted the lives of everyone on the planet — work, play, plans and daily life have been altered. We’re asked to practice social distancing, have to stand in line for everything, wear masks, work online, conduct business via the internet and wash our hands. (I believe we are all professionals when it comes to washing our hands now).

Many are getting restless staying at home due to shelter-in orders and going back out to their usual hangouts in defiance. Business owners are scared that their business won’t survive if they go any longer adhering to restrictions. There are a lot of stressed people right now, but Jesus has not forgotten about anyone.

Isaiah 49:15 says, “Never! Can a mother forget her nursing child? Can she feel no love for the child she has borne? But even if that were possible, I would not forget you!”

Nothing that will come to pass on this earth will ever take the Lord by surprise because He is omniscient — He knows everything, from beginning to end. That goes for us too, He knows everything that we will go through, from beginning to end. The best part is that He died for us and when we accept Him as our Savior, our lives are sealed in Him as well.

That being said, God hasn’t changed His mind about you during this pandemic. He is keeping everyone within the palm of His hands and speaking to us, if we listen. God had to get the world’s attention, and for those who are giving Him attention, they are getting something special right now. The Lord is preparing His kingdom for what lies ahead.

Jeremiah 31:3 says, “Long ago the Lord said to Israel: I have loved you, my people, with an everlasting love. With unfailing love I have drawn you to myself.”

That love never changes, loses its power or changes its mind about us. You have to put everything: job, health, family, concerns, fears and doubts in the hands of the Lord and let Him show you what He will do. He hasn’t changed His mind about His children.

Never.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” – Jeremiah 29:11
