There seems to be a system or a way to do everything these days. I have always appreciated lists, systems, and developing an order in which to do things. If we want to be successful and to live successfully, we must be intentional and consistent.
In developing the women’s group, Season of Greatness, one of the things I am constantly in search of is a better way to do things to accomplish living your best life and being true to yourself. In talking to different women and reading about living successfully, there really is not just one way or specific road to get you to your goal. The art of living successfully is a journey of discovering your true self, your purpose of why you were born, and living your life to the fullest.
As I share with women about the various seasons in their lives, oftentimes their perspective may change on how they look at life, what makes them happy, and ultimately how they want to live by using their gifts and talents. The same can be true as it relates to how we view living our lives successfully.
The main point is to understand your meaning, why you were created; your message, what you need to say and do; and your mission, which ultimately is your purpose. Once you have clarity on your purpose, living successfully becomes much easier.
Some of the things to consider or think about would include, but not necessarily be limited to when it comes to the art of living our lives successfully:
- Know your core values.
- Layout your goals.
- Expose yourself to different opportunities, people, and places.
- Stay on a lifelong journey of learning.
- Make your wellbeing a priority by eating healthy, exercising regularly, getting proper rest, and establishing good habits.
- Be grateful for all the positive and good things in your life.
Living a happy, peaceful, and fulfilled life is special and unique to each person. As we age and deal with various life situations and challenges, our perspective can change. Each of us must find balance in our own life. Balancing our life while building a business, working a job, raising a family, helping our children with their children, being a caregiver to a parent or loved one can all be challenging, but it is possible.
Sometimes we may need to reach out and ask for help, we may need to find support groups or resources, whatever is necessary for you to do to live the life you desire and deserve, no matter what it takes do not stop searching. Living successfully is about living your best life. We can learn from others, but do not try to be someone else. God made you unique and special.
Booker T. Washington said, “Living is the art of loving. Loving is the art of caring. Caring is the art of sharing. Sharing is the art of living. If you want to lift yourself up, lift up someone else.”
I am a true believer that when we get stuck and become clueless about what to do in our own lives, if we stop and help someone else along their journey, it is amazing how answers come to us for our own lives.
Healing Without Hate: It’s a choice. It’s a lifestyle. Pass it on.
