Former USC Volleyball Player Competes in Athletes Unlimited

Since its inception in March 2020, Athletes Unlimited (AU) has provided female athletes the option to extend their pro careers in the United States through their innovative leagues. Former USC opposite Nikia Withers recently completed her first season with the AU Volleyball league.  

SoCal Legends: Cynthia Cooper-Dyke

Cynthia Cooper-Dyke is a WNBA legend who has left her mark on Los Angeles Basketball history as a player and as a coach. Although she was born in Chicago, Cooper-Dyke was raised in Watts and attended Locke High School.

Women of Troy Show Determination in Loss to Arizona State

After a tenacious effort in the second half, the USC women’s basketball team lost to the Arizona State Sun Devils 63-54. The Women of Troy dissolved a 20-point deficit to a nine-point difference, keeping their competitive spirit high in the final minutes of the game.

USC Fights With Tenacity Against Bay Area Foes

The will of the Women of Troy was tested last weekend as NorCal schools visited. USC bested the California Golden Bears 86-76, but lost to the #7 Stanford Cardinal 69-67 in the final minutes of their game. Junior guard Minyon Moore led the Women of Troy with 18 points, 10 rebounds, eight assists and four steals. Junior guard Dijonai Carrington and senior forward Alanna Smith scored double-doubles for the Cardinal: Smith with 23 points and 12 rebounds and Carrington with 18 points and 12 rebounds. Against the Cardinal, USC struck with a defensive energy that held Stanford to 11 points.
