She adds another to her conference record after helping USC to two more road wins last week.
For the first time in over 10 years, USC women’s basketball picked up a road sweep of the Arizona schools last week. And for the 14th time this season, USC’s JuJu Watkins reigns supreme as the Pac-12 Freshman of the Week, adding to her conference record. It’s a fitting finish to the regular season for Watkins and the No. 5 Women of Troy, who now boast their highest conference win total (13) since 1997 and most regular-season wins (23) since 1994.
With 20 points at Arizona and 26 at Arizona State, Watkins bumped her count of 20-plus performances to 22 this season. She now has scored 751 points in her freshman campaign — the most points ever scored by a Trojan not named Cheryl Miller, who holds the top two marks in program history for single-season scoring. With Pac-12 Tournament play and an imminent NCAA journey still to go, Watkins has a chance to break Miller’s record of 814 total points scored in the 1985-86 season.

Watkins followed up her 20 points and eight rebounds against the Wildcats with a double-double vs. the Sun Devils, adding a career-high 12 rebounds to her 26 points in Tempe. She now has six double-doubles to her name, and she has led USC in scoring in 25 of the 27 games she’s played.
Watkins and the Trojans are soon bound for Las Vegas for competition at the Pac-12 Tournament. No. 2 seeded USC opens up in the quarterfinals on Thursday (March 7) against either Arizona or Washington at 6 p.m. to fight for a spot in the March 8 semifinals. The Pac-12 Championship game is set for 2 p.m. on Sunday (March 10).
