The View Park Knights Rugby program recently traveled to Memphis, Tennessee to compete in the inaugural Urban Rugby Championship. Both the girls’ and boys rugby teams competed against and bonded with different rugby programs from throughout the country, including Dallas and Washington DC.
Krystle Evans rose from being a high-achieving student athlete to becoming an impactful administrator and coach for college athletic programs. Evans recently led the Academy of Art University women’s basketball team to the PacWest title game and the Division II NCAA tournament.
View Park alum Nia Toliver will be competing in the Tokyo Olympics with Team USA women’s rugby.
The View Park Knights softball team has made waves in the CIF City Section since its inception in 2015. They battled from division IV competition to division II softball. Last spring, the Knights won their third consecutive City Section Championship by defeating the Roosevelt Rough Riders 13-1.
The View Park Boys’ basketball team created a new chapter in the school’s gilded athletic history. The Varsity team won the CIF State Division IV championship and the Junior Varsity squad created a strong resume of wins.
Serra will battle the Sacred Heart Cathedral Prep (SHCP) Fightin’ Irish on Friday at 6P.M. PST and View Park will battle the Stuart Hall Knights on Friday at noon.
Jabari Hughes became a starter for the varsity squad in the ninth grade; he had spirit even when the team did not believe in themselves.
