David Lami Friebe, known to many as just Lami, may be best known today for his recurring role as Trey, the charming delivery man on Tyler Perry’s hit BET series “Sistas,” but his creative roots run far deeper than television. A gifted actor, musician, and storyteller, Friebe’s artistic journey spans continents, cultures, and mediums — from jazz-infused church services to voice acting in genocide memorials to the sun-soaked sidewalks of Venice Beach, where he beat his dream-laced drums and tested his voice with strangers.

Brothers, Cary and Duane Earle brought in their success by observing what works, Cary Earle went into detail about the restaurant’s foundation. Earle’s Restaurant is located down the street from the LA Sentinel Head Quarters, on 3864 Crenshaw Boulevard, Los Angeles, California 90008. They became a destination spot from their earlier years or making American classics. Their comfort food rings true to the traditional taste of a great hot dog, but today, there is a twist of soulful and healthy items that represent the community and has supported their dream from the beginning.

Art Center College of Design Honors Legendary Shoe Designer from Inglewood

On April 27, D’Wayne Edwards, who has designed shoes for some of America’s top companies like Nike and Adidas, received an honorary degree from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. Unremarkable as it seems (Edwards has been a professional designer for about 30 years now), it’s not something Edwards imagined would happen for him. But he’s honored nonetheless,  to have received the degree; it’s something that has sparked a look back at his life in somewhat of amazement.
