Urban One Founder and Chairwoman Cathy Hughes announced TV One will air a special episode of its hit autobiographical series UNCENSORED featuring the late rapper DMX.

The Biden Campaign will also spend on ad buys with African American-owned media, including the NNPA, TV One, Roland Martin Unfiltered and others. Campaign officials said they will continue to add other media outlets targeting African Americans as the campaign moves forward.

Los Angeles County residents Alton Glass and David Heredia have each had their projects selected as winners of PitchBLACK, an interactive pitching session held on Friday in New York City. The event culminated Black Public Media’s 13-week 360 Incubator+ for broadcast programs, web series and virtual reality projects. The national incubator and talent development program, designed to identify and pipeline quality Black content while honing the skills of brilliant makers, awarded a total of $320,000 in funding.

Recently, TV One showcased the screening of their upcoming crime-drama “Loved to Death” starring actors Malinda Williams, MC Lyte, Tobias Truvillion, and McKinley Freeman at the 27thAnnual Pan African Film & Arts Festival held at the Cinemark BHC Theater. Directed by Lee Davis, the film trails the story of Malinda Williams’ character that believes she’s found true love with the right man but ignores warnings from her family about her former lover.
