The Black Hollywood Education Resource Center (BHERC) opens the 28th Annual African American Film Marketplace and S.E. Manly Short Film Showcase on Friday, August 19, with “A Great Day in Black Hollywood” ceremony at the Nate Holden Performing Arts Center in South Los Angeles.
The In-Person and Virtual Festival Includes “A Great Day in Black Hollywood “ and the S.E. Manly Short Film Showcase The Black Hollywood Education and Resource Center (BHERC) will sponsor the 28th Annual African American Film Marketplace and S.E. Manly Short Film Showcase (AAFM SEMSFS) over two weekends, August 19 – 21, and August 26 – 28. According to BHERC President Sandra J. Evers-Manly, the in-person and virtual festival will feature 108 films, premieres, and other special events and tributes. The Black Hollywood Education and Resource Center (BHERC) will hold its 27th Annual African American Film Marketplace & S.E. Manly Short Film Showcase on Jan. 14-22, 2022. The hybrid event will feature more than 100 short films curated from 900 US and international entries. Entries also being accepted for the 12th Annual BHERC Youth Diversity Film Festival
Original cast members and industry icons join with BHERC at a virtual event free to the public online at www.BHERC.TV with screening and online special celebration and tribute.
This popular film festival will make its online streaming debut in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
