Jamal Crawford’s latest NBA chance finally arrives with Nets

Luckily for Crawford, it doesn’t matter anymore. He’s back in the NBA, filling one of the spots that the Brooklyn Nets needed to address after their roster was decimated by injuries and coronavirus-related issues coming into the season restart at Walt Disney World. With Vince Carter now officially retired, Crawford comes back into the league as its oldest player — about 2 1/2 months older than Miami’s Udonis Haslem.

NBA REVEALS AWARDS FINALISTS FOR 2018-19 SEASON

The NBA announced the finalists for six awards that honor top performers from the 2018-19 regular season: Kia NBA Most Valuable Player, Kia NBA Rookie of the Year, Kia NBA Sixth Man Award, Kia NBA Defensive Player of the Year, Kia NBA Most Improved Player and NBA Coach of the Year.  

Phoenix’s Booker Fined

Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker has been fined $25,000 for escalating an on-court altercation by pushing Minnesota Timberwolves center Gorgui Dieng in the face, it was announced Thursday by Kiki VanDeWeghe, Executive Vice President, Basketball Operations. The incident, for which Booker and Dieng were each assessed a technical foul and ejected, occurred with 5:24 remaining in the third quarter of the Timberwolves’ 118-91 win over the Suns on Jan. 22 at Talking Stick Resort Arena. Clippers cruise past Suns, 108-94 ending their three-game skid

The month of December has been up and down for the Clippers, as Los Angeles came in on the night having lost six of nine games; nonetheless, put together their best defensive first half of the season Wednesday night, defeating the Phoenix Suns 108-94 at Staples Center.
