The American Ballet Theatre announced that Janet Rollé will become the new CEO and Executive Director at American Ballet Theatre. Her appointment which was announced by the Board Chariman Andrew Barth will become effective January 3, 2022. Rollé joins ABT from Parkwood Entertainment, having served as General Manager since 2016.
The National Basketball Social Justice Coalition today announced that James Cadogan has been appointed as its first Executive Director. Cadogan will assume the new position on May 10, 2021 and drive the strategic vision and day-to-day operations of the Coalition. Announced in November 2020, the Coalition will lead the NBA family’s collaborative efforts to address racial inequality and advance social justice by raising awareness, educating and advocating for meaningful policy change in several areas, including voting access and criminal justice system reform at the national, state and local level.
Local community partners will have a role in this initiative, President of Greater Los Angeles Raul Anaya stated, “We are looking to potentially partner with philanthropy and other large businesses in L.A., because our goal is to create a program ideally that is sustainable with long standing impact.
“Just like I didn’t get here on my own, moving forward the same will be true,” said Shackelford. “In the coming months my team and I look forward to meeting with the members across the country and hearing their ideas of how we can work together to advance the movement. It will take all of us to create the impact that we want to see, and our communities desperately need.”

Los Angeles Lakers rookie forward Brandon Ingram embodied the spirit of giving by treating six children from the Santa Monica Police Athletic League (PAL) to a shopping spree last week.
