U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris delivered empowering remarks about women’s rights at the Power, Leadership, and Influence of Black Woman Luncheon sponsored by Bakewell Media and the L.A. Sentinel on April 13.
Bakewell Media and the L.A. Sentinel will be honoring six inspiring women at their “Power, Leadership and Influence of the Black Woman” event on Saturday, April 13, at the Fairmont Century Plaza. An event this special, however, cannot be possible without two influential hostesses.
Dr. Elaine Batchlor, Chief Executive Officer of MLK Community Healthcare, will be honored on April 15 at Bakewell Media’s Power, Leadership & Influence of the Black Woman event. The event will take place at the Beverly Hilton from 11am to 2pm. CBS 2 Anchor Pat Harvey will moderate. Dr. Batchlor will be honored alongside the newly-elected Mayor Karen Bass and several other prominent women of Los Angeles, including LA County Metropolitan Transportation Authority CEO Stephanie N. Wiggins and veteran broadcaster Pat Prescott.
Pat Prescott, the esteemed broadcaster, will serve as mistress of ceremonies for Bakewell Media’s salute to Black women leaders and the 90th anniversary of the Sentinel on Saturday, April 15, at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
