The murder of Nipsey Hussle is personal. It is personal to me. It is personal to a generation in looking at social media and news interviews, there was a clear message that his death was felt deeply and hurt immensely, and particularly for anyone who came into contact with him, no matter how brief the interaction.

I did not know much about him, but the younger people cited all the good things that the Grammy-nominee and former gang member had done for the community in which he grew up, and where he continued to invest his time and fortune. LOS ANGELES – A man suspected of gunning down Rapper Nipsey Hussle over a personal dispute has been captured in Bellflower. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department confirmed to CBS2 that 29-year-old Eric Holder was caught by deputies sometime before 1:30 p.m. Los Angeles police told CBS2 they were responding to confirm the suspect’s identity as Holder. LOS ANGELES (AP) — Los Angeles police are seeking a 29-year-old man who they believe shot and killed Nipsey Hussle outside the rapper’s clothing store where he was trying to remake his community. Los Angeles police Chief Michel Moore has scheduled a briefing Tuesday morning in which he will discuss how detectives came to identify Eric Holder as the man suspected of killing Hussle Sunday afternoon and wounding two others. An anonymous law enforcement source tells the New York Daily News that LAPD homicide detectives are pursuing a suspect known personally by Nipsey Hussle. The meeting with LAPD that Nipsey Hussle had schedule today will go forth with a representation from Roc Nation at 4p.m.
