Free SAT-Prep Workshop, Nov. 10 at Kaiser BHC
High school students can register now for the free SAT-prep workshop to be held Saturday, November 10, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., in the conference center at Kaiser Permanente Baldwin Hills-Crenshaw Medical Offices, 3782 W. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90008. The workshop provides instruction and tutoring for all sections. A 30-minute practice test will be held at 8:30 a.m.
March for Justice on Crenshaw
More than 1,000 enthusiastic advocates for Black unity, peace and justice marched from Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd. to Leimert Park on Saturday, Feb. 21. The march came on the heels of the highly publicized, and fatal, shootings of several unarmed Black men including 25 year-old mentally ill Los Angeles resident, Ezell Ford.
The Taste of Soul Circulates Money through Black-owned Businesses
The Taste of Soul celebrated 10 years of bringing hundreds of businesses to the Crenshaw community on Saturday, Oct. 17.
