LADOT Crossing Guard Celebrates 40+ Years of Service

Wednesday, March 3, 1976. It’s a date Carl McCorkle will never forget. That was the day he first began working as a crossing guard for the Los Angeles Department of Transporation (LADOT). He also remembers his first intersection – 11th Avenue and Hyde Park Boulevard, just by the Hyde Park Early Education Center, YES Academy, and Hyde Park Elementary School.

Partners Bring On-Demand ADA Options to Riders in Downtown Area

The assisted-rider community of Los Angeles will now have access to FlexLA’s affordable, on-demand ride sharing services thanks to a grant from the Los Angeles Department of Transportation (LADOT) to ButterFLi, an LA-based transportation provider for Angelinos with accessibility challenges.
