This year has brought a number of significant developments. A new Congress, the 115th in our nation’s history and similarly the 45th president have together begun a new era of government. From all indications, this new leadership seeks to create public policies and priorities that significantly alter what will remain as a governmental function. The Los Angeles Sentinel/ L.A. Watts Times this week announced they are endorsing Congresswoman Janice Hahn, who is now running for Los Angeles County Supervisor over the 4th district. The endorsement has been added to more than 700 that she has received so far. Mayor Aja Brown, the City of Compton and over 10,000 parade spectators welcomed home 2016 multiple Grammy nominee rapper Kendrick Lamar as the grand marshal of the 63rd Annual Compton Christmas Parade held Saturday, December 12.
