Church of the Transfiguration Plans Centennial Celebration

The members of Church of the Transfiguration will mark 100 years of spiritual service to the South Los Angeles community during its four-day centennial celebration beginning Thursday, August 3, and concluding on Sunday, August 6.

KPC Ladies of Grace Support ‘Women With Children in Crisis’

The Ellen Marie Jackson Chapter #13 of the Knights of Peter Claver (KPC) Fourth Degree Ladies of Grace Division held their 3rd annual ‘Women With Children in Crisis’ benefit for the Good Shepherd Shelter for Battered Women with Children on September 12. The high tea event, held at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Culver City, is part of a 35-year commitment made by the KPC Ladies of Grace to combat the issue of domestic violence.
