The Knights of Peter Claver and the Ladies Auxiliary will hold a 3rd virtual Western States District Conference on Zoom on Friday, April 22, through Sunday, April 24.

Bro. Gregory Warner, Knights president, and Lady Barbara Williams, Ladies Auxiliary president, have planned an agenda that will allow members to develop advanced leadership skills. Also, the Knights and Ladies will participate in the 69th Annual Conference in the West, which focuses on the theme “Building a Better World with Justice, Compassion and Truth.”

In addition, the members will attend workshops on Financial Management and Protocol as well as business meetings. There will also be a virtual banquet, Liturgies, and a Prayer Service for harmony and peace.

The Financial Management workshop will be on budget and revenue processing, and formatting electronic data.   The Knights and Ladies Protocol session will cover KPC etiquette and traditions.

“Our patron Saint, Peter Claver, aided and comforted captive slaves as they were brought to Cartagena, Colombia in South American,” President Warner said. “St. Peter Claver did a humanitarian effort as he helped the Africans who endured harsh treatment and deplorable living conditions.”

The Conference will also include awards, silent auction, raffle and the election of officers . Also, there will be a virtual   scavenger hunt that will lead participants on a creative adventure, which will benefit the Junior Division.
