UCLA took a disappointing, heartbreaking loss in the PAC-12 Championship. Stanford’s hot shooting was too much for the lady Bruins. The Cardinal’s offensive power got going early, and they never looked back.
The Lady Bruins took over in the fourth quarter and dominated Washington 58-46. UCLA shot 45% from the field and 2-18 from the 3-point line.
Four-time WNBA Champion Seimone Augustus re-signed with the Sparks. Augustus has one of the most prolific basketball careers in professional basketball history. She ranks tenth in scoring in WNBA history with 2005 points, and she averaged 15.4 points throughout her career. Augustus won championships in 2011, 2013, 2015, and 2017.
The Sparks signed Bria Holmes this offseason, and she’s excited about her future in Los Angeles. The 2016 draft pick will bring her playoff and championship experience to the Sparks as they expect to compete at a high level this year.
The Women of Troy lost to the Oregon Ducks 72-48. USC did not have any answers for the surging Ducks, who sit 13-6 on the season. Oregon was looking to end their three-game losing streak.
Brittney Sykes moved in silence and re-signed with the Sparks. The defensive juggernaut made 2nd team all-defense in the first season in Los Angeles, last year in 2020. Sykes will again strive to become Defensive Player of the Year, and she looks forward to furthering her career with the Sparks.
The #23 ranked Bruins defeated Oregon State 57-52 in a night where they struggled shooting the basketball. UCLA led by forward Cody Riley, who finished with a double, double, 16 points, and ten rebounds.

Reigning Sixth Man of the Year Montrezl Harrell shocked NBA fans by signing with the Los Angeles Lakers. Harrell, who is signed to Klutch Sports, already has an existing relationship with LeBron James and will embrace this opportunity to play the 2020 NBA champions.
