Inglewood senior dual-sport student athlete Adam Singh has a competitive spirit and knows how to find opportunities to better himself. Along with playing point guard on the boys’ basketball team, he runs the 100m and the 200m for the track and field team.
Since its inception in 2018, the Dwan Hurt Holiday Classic basketball tournament has grown into prominence in Los Angeles. The fourth annual Holiday Classic was held at two different locations, highlighting the talents of 28 teams.
The Inglewood Sentinels football team are currently ranked 23rd in California and has a 6-0 overall record. Last Friday, the Sentinels shut out the Hawthorne Cougars 59-0 for their homecoming game.

Paul Pierce, also known as “The Truth,” built a prominent basketball career by matching his talent with a strong work ethic. Born in Oakland and raised in Inglewood, CA, Pierce took an interest to basketball from watching the Showtime Lakers battle the Boston Celtics in the NBA Finals.
USC sophomore guard, Ethan Anderson has been a tenacious presence on the men’s basketball team. He is not afraid to score in traffic and shake a defender to make a shot.
Through the RISE with the Rams program, the Los Angeles Rams has been building bonds between high school students and law enforcement. Last month, the Rams partnered with the Ross Initiative in Sports for Equality (RISE) to host their second session of the season.
Junior Justyn Martin will be the new quarterback for the Inglewood Sentinels football team for the 2020-2021 season. He has a mind to lead on and off the field.
As his teammates can count on him to make big plays, his classmates count on him for assistance in math. Inglewood High School Junior Orion Peters helped the Sentinels football team to a 10-1 overall record and a 5-0 record in the Pioneer League. Peters recently committed to Washington State University.
Football in Inglewood has become more thrilling as of late, and it’s not because of the Rams and Chargers eventual move out there. The Inglewood Sentinel football team had a change in personnel, helping the team escape from their disparaging past to become the undefeated powerhouse they are today.
It will be an afternoon of family fun, food, entertainment and a competitive game of hoops! The event will feature local comedian, Alex Thomas, Jr. as host and a musical performance by rapper Mac 10. Celebrity players scheduled to appear include: Casey Veggies, Dove Shack, Spice 1, Genesis, Sheldon Bailey and Coco Crisp, to name a few.
The Rams and the Chargers teamed up to donate $10,000 each towards 50 home and 50 away jerseys for both Inglewood and Morningside high school.
