You’ve heard him on the radio on KJLH 102.3 FM. You’ve seen him on KTLA News Channel 5 as an on-air personality. He has appeared on various television shows such as “True Detective,” “Murder in The First” and HBO’s “Barry.” Avi Bernard will continue his acting abilities in his upcoming film, “Why Torture Is Wrong and the People Who Love Them.”  

LACC Hosted Screening of Emmy Award-Winning Actress/Director Cady McClain’s Seeing is Believing: Women Direct

On Monday, September 24,  Los Angeles City College (LACC)  hosted a screening of two-time Emmy Award winning actress and Emmy nominated director Cady McClain’s new documentary Seeing is Believing: Women Direct for students and members of Women in Media.. Directly following the screening was a panel discussion moderated by Tema Staig of Women in Media and featured Li Lu (There is a New World Somewhere), JuliaVerdin (2 Jacks), and Skye Borgman (Abducted. In Plain Sight).

The DROP Essay Contest is part of the annual 2018 Week of Positive Change, Non-Violence and Opportunities, October 13-21, 2018. In a joint statement, BW4PC National co-chairs Dr. Stephanie Myers and Daun S. Hester stated, “We must convince youth that dropping out of school is a pipeline to prison and violence.
