Ethelbert Anum was featured in the April 5th edition of the newspaper and helped the boys basketball team win a CIF division II championship last season.
The Drew League Foundation, a charitable organization designed to help the youth of South Central Los Angeles and surrounding areas defy the stereotypes brought forth by the communities they call home through education, celebrated its 10th anniversary with a gala and scholarship awards event at the Proud Bird on Saturday (July 14).
A school known for their academics earned an athletic honor when their boys’ basketball team defeated Van Nuys 62-60 in the Division II championship game.
Ethelbert Anum had plans for King/Drew before even enrolling at the school.
