Seahawks to Trade Russell Wilson to Denver

Six years and a day after Manning retired, Broncos general manager George Paton agreed to send a massive haul of players and draft picks to the Seattle Seahawks for nine-time Pro Bowl quarterback Russell Wilson, two people familiar with the negotiations confirmed to The Associated Press on March 8.

Broncos honor Demaryius Thomas with 38-10 rout of the Lions

The grief-stricken Denver Broncos honored the late Demaryius Thomas by wearing his number on their helmets, his jersey on their backs and his memory in their hearts.

They knelt in tribute to his number 88 painted on their sideline and didn’t bother fighting back the tears during a moment of silence or the string of highlights shown on the scoreboard Sunday.

Willie Brown, Jr., Is Not Dead

On the June 28 broadcast of the 2020 BET Awards, the network included Brown’s image and name in a video montage of famous African Americans who have died within the last year. The tribute included Diahann Carroll, Bill Withers, the Rev. Joseph Lowery, Pernell Whitaker and others.  

Los Angeles Chargers 2019 Schedule Announced

The National Football League unveiled the complete schedule for its 100th season today, and the Los Angeles Chargers will open the 2019 regular season Sunday, Sept. 8 at home against the Indianapolis Colts and close out the year on the road with a divisional tilt Sunday, Dec. 29 against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Looking to snap a two-game losing streak, the Los Angeles Rams resembled the team that has been seen during the first 11 weeks of the season, and not the previous two. Rams quarterback Jared Goff found himself of old and was efficient in Sundays 31-9 victory over the Arizona Cardinals at State Farm Stadium.
