Inglewood Pastor Spearheads Memorial to Young Victims of Jonestown Tragedy

Pastor Jynona Norwood  and Martin Luther King III Dedicate “Cherishing the Children Jonestown Memorial Wall”   November 2018 marks the 40th anniversary of the mass murders in Jonestown, Guyana.  The horror of that tragic event in 1978, where more than 600 adults, 300 youngster and 40 infants died, lingers strong in the memories of many, especially Inglewood Pastor Jynona Norwood. Norwood, who leads Faith I AM Center, had rescued her young son from the cult, yet she and her family still lost 27 loved ones. In fact, her relatives were the youngest, a two-months-old baby; the second oldest, her 90-years-old cousin; and the

Omarosa is Not Your Dog, Trump

I am no fan of Omarosa Manigault Newman, the mononymous diva who dominates the airwaves whenever she wants to. Her new book, “Unhinged,” which I won’t read, is billed as a tell-all on “45’s” White House and its shenanigans. In making the rounds, “Omierosie” (my nickname for her) has played tapes that seem to corroborate at least some of her allegations about “45.” More importantly, her tapes are evidence that the game captured the hunter. In other words, Omierosie took a page from “45’s” book and trusted fewer people than even “45” did.

Inglewood Fulfills Promise to Seniors as Center Opens

Hundreds of seniors came out to celebrate the grand opening of the new senior facility in the rapidly developing City of Inglewood, located on the N/E corner of Queen Street and Locust Ave. The seniors had been promised a new facility back in 2005 when the old building was demolished to make way for the new state-of-the- art senior center but construction happened. However, with a new regime of like-minded folks in City Hall, projects and being completed and new center is ready to serve the needs of community’s seniors.
