Theodore L. Jackson, Jr. to be Honored with a Memorial Bench in his Name

The late Theodore L. Jackson, Jr., affectionately known as “Ted”, the son of the late Theodore L. Jackson, Sr., M.D. and Mrs. Gloria Washington Jackson and a great-grandson of Booker T. Washington, will be commemorated in an activity filled weekend celebration of his life.

Alliance - All 12 Pro Sports Team United – Plans Student-Led Unity March & Dialogue

On July 24, in an annual event that celebrates the 12 pro sports teams of greater Los Angeles and Orange County coming together to use sports to drive social change, local youth, LAPD officers, community members and civic leaders, the public is encouraged to join the Alliance Unity March & Dialogue. Each year, the student-led march emphasizes what change we can make when we stand united and work together to end racial inequality. The event begins at 9am. 

Thousands Attend Bill Pickett Rodeo

Bill Pickett Invitational Rodeo (BPIR) and Toyota announced the Toyota BPIR “Greatest Show on Dirt” Traveling Museum. Alongside the BPIR 22 Tour, The Traveling Museum has toured the country to tell the stories of Black Cowboys and Cowgirls who traveled the U.S. with the world’s leading all-Black touring rodeo.
