Fast-food workers held a statewide strike today, staging rallies outside McDonald’s locations in Monterey Park, South Los Angeles and Hollywood as part of a protest against allegedly unsafe working conditions and to demand passage of Assembly Bill 257.

DTLA Federal Jail Guard Pleads Guilty to Lying to Investigators

A correctional officer at the federal jail in downtown Los Angeles pleaded guilty today to a felony charge of lying to investigators about his sexual activity with an inmate. Abel Concho, 53, of East Los Angeles, pleaded guilty to one count of making false statements, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

Three Bodies Found in Balboa Island Home
