Sentinel News Service Community Builders Group, a Pasadena-based real estate developer, hosted a Healthcare Festival on April 29, at University Gardens, an apartment complex near the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. This is the second year that CBG has partnered with L.A. Leimert Park Community Celebrates Sika Dwimfo’s 81st Birthday
On Monday, December 27, the Leimert Park community surprised longtime business owner and community activist and cornerstone, Sika Dwimfo, for his 81st birthday. As Sika’s birthday approached, Albert Lord, Community Build vice president of Gov. Relations and Arts Programs, wanted to do more. “When I learned about Sika’s 81st birthday, I thought it would a nice idea to give him his flowers now, vs. later. Sika has always been a gentle and kind friend. For me to do this for him was the least I could do,” said Lord. Close to 30 people, including representatives from various organizations to merchants

COMMUNITY BUILD, INC. ANNOUNCES TARA TAYLOR AS INTERIM CHIEF OPERATIONS OFFICER
Taylor will be in charge of Community Build’s daily operations, including managing a staff of 68 in two separate locations, the administrative offices in Leimert Park and the Youth and Community Center. She will be responsible for ensuring each department and individual employee has the resources and support needed to operate CBI’s services and programs as well as CBI’s hundreds of client. In addition, Taylor will also work to define the role and responsibilities for the permanent chief operations officer position.

In a scenic setting of live music, cuisine, and ambiance, Community Build, Inc. in Leimert Park, welcomed public officials, colleagues, family and friends, and a who’s who list of community influencers who convened to celebrate the organization’s new president and CEO, Robert Saucedo, with a reception and ribbon cutting ceremony.
