Leimert Park Community Celebrates Sika Dwimfo’s 81st Birthday
On Monday, December 27, the Leimert Park community surprised longtime business owner and community activist and cornerstone, Sika Dwimfo, for his 81st birthday. As Sika’s birthday approached, Albert Lord, Community Build vice president of Gov. Relations and Arts Programs, wanted to do more. “When I learned about Sika’s 81st birthday, I thought it would a nice idea to give him his flowers now, vs. later. COMMUNITY BUILD, INC. ANNOUNCES TARA TAYLOR AS INTERIM CHIEF OPERATIONS OFFICER
Taylor will be in charge of Community Build’s daily operations, including managing a staff of 68 in two separate locations, the administrative offices in Leimert Park and the Youth and Community Center. She will be responsible for ensuring each department and individual employee has the resources and support needed to operate CBI’s services and programs as well as CBI’s hundreds of client. In addition, Taylor will also work to define the role and responsibilities for the permanent chief operations officer position.
